I’m a startup operator, advisor and angel investor. I’m currently working on something new and advising early-stage companies with a focus on marketplace businesses. My past consulting clients include Lambda School & Outschool, and I’ve held full-time leadership roles at HotelTonight & Wonderschool. Some highlights from my experience:
I was the ninth employee and VP of North America Local Operations at HotelTonight, a mobile-first travel company (acquired by Airbnb). I led a 45-person team responsible for US and LATAM business performance, which contributed 90% of total revenue. I drove company-wide strategy and led cross-functional initiatives as part of the global leadership team.
I built the earliest stages of Outschool’s employer partnerships business, which allows companies to offer Outschool as a benefit to their employees. I piloted the business in Spring 2020, secured the first $1.4M in revenue and hired the full-time team to run with the business from there.
I led Operations at Wonderschool, a marketplace for childcare & preschool backed by First Round Capital, a16z and Omidyar Network. I managed supply growth, new market expansion, customer success, enrollment operations and support. I was responsible for increasing our rate of supply growth by 2,000% on a monthly basis.
I coach startup managers and care deeply about the people side of building businesses.
I started my career in management consulting at Katzenbach Partners (RIP) and received the first-ever Education Pioneers Analyst fellowship to join the investment team at NewSchools Venture Fund, where I fell in love with startups 🦄 🚀
I was a World Economic Forum Global Shaper before I got too old to participate, and received a Michael C. Rockefeller Fellowship, which I spent volunteering for a conservation and environmental education NGO in the Seychelles.
I graduated from Harvard College with honors in Social Studies (yes, that’s a real major…) and hold a master’s from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
I’m from the East coast and live in San Francisco. I love donuts, travel and all things outdoors—and am on a quest to visit as many US national parks as possible (36 and counting, Badlands up next so pls send recs!).
